Our School

The Coyote’s Path Wilderness School is located in the eastern foothills of the Cascade Mountains in Washington State. We have 180 acres of Ponderosa Pine and Douglas fir surrounding spring fed Skan Lake.

The land is home to Cougar, Bear, Deer, Bobcat, Eagle, Owl, Hawk, Muskrat, Chipmunk, Squirrel, Hummingbirds, and over 50 more bird species.

This is a place where you learn to understand nature and through understanding lose the fear that keeps one separate from the deep peace and knowledge the wilderness offers us.

Classes

The survival classes teach you the basic skills you need to feel comfortable and care for yourself in the woods alone.

The nature study courses teach about the plants and animals in the way of relationships providing an intimate understanding of how all of nature works in harmony.

The Shadow Scout is the ultimate in learning and practicing the skills of a wilderness scout and overcoming your fear.

We offer private, group, family experiences and apprentice programs .

Healthy vegetarian meals are included during each class.

You provide your own gear from the list we send you upon receiving your registration.

Bring a tent for camping!
